Our little park, desecrated and decorated with 'treasures' of an ideal lifestyle
Pile it up, pack it in the park, plastic and faeces, intertwined
Others do it, therefore it must be right, to pile it up, balancing a
'Pyramid of Pooh', and plastic, packed and piled, perfectly postured
frozen winter , minus twenty, nothing to smell, packed and piled.

Why I Enjoy Writing
Like a sculptor moulding a work out of clay, so too the writer builds his work through imagination, reflection, a critical eye, and ear, as he (she) (No Jokes, please) reads it back to themselves out loud, to see if what's been written, 'rings true' or not ?
It allows me to put forward ideas and play in an environment that is hermetically
sealed from the sneering derision of those too impatient to allow you to formulate arguments or ideas in everyday discourse.
Human interaction is interlaced with political situations, as we are in a constant state of negotiating the terms of the our collective experience. Dr.Thomas Szasz, the Hungarian born scientist, spoke of this aspect of human existence when he said: "The struggle for definition is veritably the struggle for life itself. In the typical 'Western' (movie) two men fight desperately for the possession of a gun that has been thrown on the ground: whoever reaches the weapon first shoots and lives; his adversary is shot and dies. In ordinary life, the struggle is not for guns but for words; whoever first defines the situation is the victor; his adversary, the victim." So, perhaps in life, the rage brought forward by the egregious use of spin causes people like me to often wilt during intense argumentation, as our minds become more fixated on the 'opponents' abuse of tactics than on remaining calm, and building an argument logically. We allow the impatience of the 'adversary' to dictate the landscape of the argument.
The result of losing such battles can adversely affect the confidence of even the strongest of intellects (I can only speculate), just as winning a verbal exchange can embolden the confidence of a minor one (I don't need to speculate).
The late great George Carlin pointed out in his skit "The Self-Esteem Movement" that a 'high self-esteem' is not necessarily a pre-requisite to being a balanced person, as he said "apparently, extremely aggressive, violent people, think very highly of themselves!" he goes on to say: "Imagine that?! Sociopaths have high self-esteem!"
Perhaps writing, for me, and those who prefer printed media, are a kind of metaphorical "Tortoise" in relation to the "Hares" that run the world, those great orators among us. Now, only as the most dysfunctional ones among them (orators) see their grip on power slipping, and with it , all of its control and deception, they have escalated their state of panic, for fear of losing all they have gained.
I like engaging in alternative viewpoints because I find it an exiting way to trailblaze into new realms of reality and unreality. I don't care about being "RIGHT", I have little status to uphold, I'm a house painter! If there is one thing of value I can bring to my writing from my work experience, is the sheer joy of entertaining and developing new ideas…something which I've learned probably as a coping mechanism to help deal with the monotonous aspects of my job.
Insert jokes about sniffing too many paint fumes, here ________!
